In Nigeria, we instituted the 1st ever National Conference on Cybercrime and Cybersecurity hosted in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. The Cybercrime conference was approved and endorsed by the office of Attorney General of Federation and Federal Ministry of Justice, National Information Technology Development Agency –Federal Ministry of Science & Technology, and co-sponsored by National Communication Commission with full participation of states representatives, relevant professional bodies and strategic stakeholders from public and private sectors.

The success and outcome of conference stimulated all national stakeholders at the executive level, legislative houses, media, state and national level, on the growing concern of Cybercrime as it affect National Security and Digital economy.

The conference has successfully promoted the needs for the passage of Cyberlaw bill currently at the final stage in National Assembly.
